22 people were killed in a rocket attack in the eastern Ukrainian city of Chaplin. |
22 people were killed in a rocket attack in the eastern Ukrainian city of Chaplin. Among them, five people were burnt to death in a car. An 11-year-old child is also among the dead.
Regarding the attack, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia carried out this attack in the middle of the meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
However, the Russian authorities did not comment on this. The Kremlin has denied targeting any civilian facilities.
Zelensky said he learned about the attack on Chaplin between Dnipro and Donetsk in eastern Ukraine. The attack happened when he was preparing to speak at the UN Security Council. He said this is how Russia prepared for the UN Security Council meeting.
Meanwhile, the rocket attack on Chaplin has killed 22 people so far, but the number may increase.
Earlier, another attack took place at the train station last April. 50 people were killed in that incident.
