After our trip of 5 days I'm already aching to go back to the area and explore further. There are a lot of people who are claiming Fort Lauderdale as an 'offshoot of Miami.
It's not. It's got a completely different style and personality that's impressive if you're looking to get an ambiance that is a blend of relaxed time with a touch of culture, and lots of stunning natural beauty to take in.

Ocracoke, North Carolina
We nearly walked straight across the island, but we were in a hurry to get on another ferry. Luckily for us the ferry that was scheduled for the day had already left , so that we were able to spend the evening and the night in Ocracoke, North Carolina.
The island is home to a tiny town, the home of a tiny lighthouse as well as beaches and a stunning port. There are numerous bars and restaurants that are celebrating St Patrick's Day while we were there. Take a stroll around and I'm sure that you'll enjoy it as well.
