According to the latest figures from the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), around 50 business electricity generators and more than 60 gas suppliers are operating in the UK. The four main electricity generators in the UK are EDF Energy, Centrica, SSE, and Iberdrola. The largest gas supplier is British Gas, followed by SSE, ScottishPower, and E.ON.
