Here is the mistakes you’ve been making on your skincare routine
In elementary school, I used to believe that the glitzy bottles and catchy advertising would magically solve all of my skin issues. It would be even better if the products were accompanied by before-and-after images.

I was unaware at the time that there was no one-size-fits-all approach to skin care. In actuality, the opposite is frequently true.

 

I had to battle my way through psoriasis, hyperpigmentation, and the pressure we place on ourselves to look like porcelain dolls in order to figure out what worked for me, my routine, and my budget.

 

I've learned certain things along the way that work and some things that don't. More importantly, I've discovered a few falsehoods about skin care products that might help you in the future. 

 

  1. Not using appropriate amount of product

Advice: You should give your face more than a dime's worth of cleaning after a long day of touching, eating takeout, and picking up extra change from the coffee shop.

 

  1. Not using makeup wipes

Makeup wipes can really cause friction and progressively rip at the skin if you're prone to hyperpigmentation and use them frequently. Additionally, many makeup wipes contain alcohol, which can irritate skin that is already sensitive. On typical days, I wash my face and then apply CeraVe SA Cleanser to my hands.
