Five Nights at Freddy's movie preparation is underway, according to a new image
The path to the movie version of Five Nights at Freddy's has been a lengthy one. The initial iteration of the games hit the market in 2014, and only one year later, in 2015, did consideration turn to create a movie. Since then, the creative team has been working diligently behind the scenes to turn the popular horror games into a frightful live-action adventures.
In a previous statement, franchise creator Scott Cawthon provided only general information on the several screenplays that were ultimately rejected during pre-production. But before he signed off, he drew attention to the screenplay they had eventually chosen, which he referred to as the "Mike" script.
But everything went wrong. Although the specifics of what transpired are yet unknown, there was a significant reset of the scenes. There was no longer a director linked to the project named Christopher Columbus, and there was no current word on the film's release date.
For those who were hopeful the video game adaptation would ever be released, everything seemed quite hopeless.
Thankfully, things could finally be turning around at this point.
Finally, Five Nights at Freddy's begins.
Jason Blum, the CEO of Blumhouse, said on Twitter that he was happy to be collaborating with Jim Henson's Creature Shop on a future project. They have "absolutely killer experience and competence with animatronics," he continues.
What the labor is truly for is not mentioned by him. But the explanation becomes very obvious to those keen observers: they're working on the Five Nights at Freddy's movie adaptation.
The bow tie, microphone, and larger, teddy bear-like breast are the greatest giveaways, but if you look carefully at the bottom right of the picture, you can see the head of the infamously horrific animatronic.
Freddy's Taking the World By Storm
Many franchise fans are probably ecstatic to hear and receive a positive update on the project. Some people may have believed that the film would never be released.
The extent of franchise creator Scott Cawthon's participation in the development is one area where there is still some uncertainty. Cawthon's dubious and contentious political donations last year became a major source of contention among fans; in fact, it even prompted Blum to hand over the game franchise to another development, despite the fact that he had previously stated that they still needed his approval for anything they did.
In light of the fact that work seems to be getting underway in earnest, perhaps all of the internal commotions have been resolved. The fact that Animatornics is under development suggests that manufacturing won't be too far behind.
Fans had the best start fastening their seatbelts since the globe is coming closer and closer to seeing Freddy Fazbear's Pizza characters harass spectators.
While a release date for Five Nights at Freddy's is not yet known, Security Breach, the most recent game in the franchise, is presently on sale anywhere video games are sold.
