It was renovated by Robert Clive as his country house, but today it's in a dilapidated condition and is assumed to be the oldest building in Kolkata. Its vehement historical appeal can be perceived from outside only.
5.) Victoria Memorial:
Located on Maidan, on the banks of Hoogly River, it is a large marble building to commemorate the life of Queen Alexandria Victoria, the first British Empress of India. It's a visual treat of 25 galleries and gardens expanding over 64 acres.
