Why Do You Need to Take a Medical Examination?
All foreign nationals seeking permanent residence or a work permit in the UAE must complete a medical fitness examination during the final stage of their visa application. Additionally, all expats currently residing in the UAE must also undergo a medical examination during their visa renewal.
The Ministry of Health & Prevention (MoHAP) has made it mandatory for all foreign nationals to undergo a medical examination before they can visit the UAE. The regulation is implemented to ensure the health and safety of the community. Not just for visa application but a medical test is also compulsory to obtain an Emirates ID.

How Long Does it Take to Complete the Medical Fitness Test?

• Review of the person’s medical history
• Chest x-ray
