Research Development For Psychiatry CRO

The Kempf Awards for Research Development in Psychobiology honors the outstanding work of researchers and medical educators in the fields of neuropsychiatry and Psychiatry CRO. Each year, the APA presents these awards to researchers in Psychiatry CRO and neurology who are working to improve patient care and understand the causes of psychiatric disorders.

The recipients of this year's awards include Dr. Robert McCullumsmith, an assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Others include James Harris Jr., a professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, and Richard Rosner, medical director of Bellevue Hospital's forensic psychiatry clinic.

The Kempf Awards for Research Development in Psychobiology honors the contributions of early career psychiatrists and medical students. The awards promote the development of Psychiatry CRO care and encourage medical students to pursue their education and careers in the field.

In addition to recognizing outstanding researchers and early career psychiatrists, these awards also encourage the recruitment of underrepresented individuals in the field of psychiatry.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Junior Faculty Award are aimed at supporting innovative research and provides up to $30,000 for two years. The research can be clinical, or basic, but must relate to child and adolescent mental health disorders. Recipients of the award are required to submit a poster presentation detailing the results of their research.
