The diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of India were established in the beginning of the seventies and the first Charge d’Affair of the embassy of the state of Qatar to the republic of India was appointed on 23/1/1973, whereas the first ambassador of the state of Qatar to the republic of India was appointed on 29/5/1974.
