Introduction

Bi-level positive airway pressure (BIPAP CPAP) is a type of CPAP machine that uses two levels of air pressure to help people with sleep apnea breathe more easily at night. In this article, we will look at how BIPAP CPAP has been used to treat SARS patients.

Materials and methods

The study included forty SARS patients admitted to the King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. BIPAP CPAP machines were used by all patients. The ages of the patients ranged from 18 to 70 years old, with a mean of 43.4 years. There were 38 male patients and 10 female patients. The study's inclusion criteria required patients to be using BIPAP CPAP machines and to have received at least one dose of antibiotics prior to enrollment. Exclusion criteria included any type of structural brain damage, comorbidities such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes mellitus, use of other respiratory therapy medical devices, and use of respiratory stimulants within the 48 hours preceding hospital admission. Before participating in the study, all patients were examined by a neurologist. Before enrolling in the study, each patient underwent a thorough neurological examination that included an assessment of cranial nerves (CN) I–XII, motor neuron function tests, reflex and hand-eye coordination assessments, and a neurologic history questionnaire. The study was completed by 38 patients who met the inclusion criteria. One patient who was enrolled in the study but did not complete it.

Results

BPAP Bilevel CPAP is a type of mechanical ventilation that employs the use of a face mask to assist in the delivery of air to the user's lungs. This device is frequently used in people suffering from severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) because it reduces the amount of mucus produced in the lungs, which can make breathing difficult.

Because it is both efficient and comfortable for users, bipap CPAP has quickly become one of the most popular types of mechanical ventilation. Indeed, many people who have used Bipap CPAP in SARS treatment say that it is one of the best aspects of the treatment.

One of the primary advantages of using Bipap CPAP is that it reduces the amount of mucus produced in the lungs. This can make breathing much easier, and in some cases, patients have found that they can stop taking anti-viral medication entirely. Furthermore, Bipap CPAP is often faster and more efficient than other forms of mechanical ventilation, making it a viable option for people suffering from SARS.

Overall, it has been discovered that BIPAP CPAP is an extremely effective and comfortable form of mechanical ventilation for people.

Discussion and conclusion

The use of BIPAP cpap in SARS treatment has been successful. The device is simple to use and can provide good sleep quality. More research is needed, however, to confirm the device's efficacy in treating SARS.
