For a good skincare routine, you have to find the right products that are suited for your skin type.  

What are Skin Types? There are three common types of skin: oily, dry, and combination. The best way to determine your skin type is by looking at its texture, tone, and appearance. 

What is an Oily skin: Oily skin type has excess oil and can sometimes appear shiny. This can lead to breakouts or clogged pores. Oily skin needs moisturising and mattifying products that help control oil production, reduce shine, prevent breakouts, and keep pores clean. 

What is Dry Skin: Dry skin lacks natural oils so it often feels tight or looks dull. Dry skin is often the result of a combination of factors including low hydration levels and the lack of natural oils. This can cause it to feel tight, look dull, and more easily lead to inflammation. and other skin issues. 

What is a combination skin type? Combination Skin type is a skin type that is characterised by an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. You will find both oily and dry skin. The T-zone, which is the forehead, nose, and chin, tends to be more oily than other parts of the face. This may lead to clogged pores and breakouts in this region. The cheeks are typically drier than the rest of the face because they are exposed to less oil from sebum production.

Skin Care Routine For Oily Skin 


  • Wash Your face twice a day for a healthy skincare routine. Avoid harsh skin care products, and use pH-balanced skincare Products to wash your face 

  • Egg whites and lemons are one of the best remedies for oily skin, the acid in the lemon and other citrus fruits helps to absorb the oil in your skin. 

  1. Take 1 egg white with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and mix it 

  1. Gently apply it to your face, and let the mask dries 

  1. Wash your face with warm water, and pat dry 

  • Oatmeal helps absorb excess oil and calm inflamed skin  

  1. Take 1/2 cup oats and mix with hot water to form a paste 

  1. Take 1 tablespoon of honey and mix with the paste 

  1. Apply the oatmeal mixture to your face and wash it off after some time, then wash with warm water and pat dry 

  • Jojoba Oil is a remedy to treat oily skin, acne, and other skin problems. Apply a few drops of jojoba oil to your skin and massage gently. Try this few days a week 

  1. Take half of a banana and mash it 

  1. Add 2 tablespoons of jojoba oil and raw honey and mix well 

  1. Gently apply the face mask and leave it for 20-30 minutes 

  1. Rinse your face with water and pat dry
