LONDON — In the UK, the third phase of putting the smartphone app service for self-registering the biometrics of Umrah pilgrims has begun. Muslims in United Kingdom prefer to book Cheap Ramadan Umrah Packages because these are cheaper and Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj.

Hassan Al-Gumaie, who is the deputy Saudi ambassador to the UK, was at the event where the Saudi Visa Bio app was introduced.

There were also officials from a number of Hajj and Umrah offices, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Presidency of State Security, the National Cybersecurity Authority, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAYA).

After installing the Saudi Visa Bio app on their phones, British applicants for Hajj and Umrah visas for Hajj and December Umrah Packages UK will be able to register their biometrics from their home countries. This means they won't have to go to visa centres.

The process of matching biometrics will take place when the pilgrims arrive in the Kingdom by land, sea, or airport. This service was started because Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman wanted to give Hajj and Umrah pilgrims the best services and facilities possible.

Notable is that on October 6, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan launched an app that allows Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to self-register their biometrics using their smartphones. With the launch of the new system, Saudi Arabia is the first country in the world to let biometrics be registered on smartphones so that electronic visas can be issued.
