Sky Sports Signs Long-Term Deal For International Cricket
Sky Sports

Sky Sports will continue to show some of the biggest events in international cricket under a new agreement with the sports governing body ICC.

Sky retains the ICC broadcast and digital rights to cover all men's and women's events including the ICC Cricket World Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup through the end of 2031.

The partnership will include a major international men's and women's event every year and a World Test Championship final every two years.

“We are delighted to partner with Sky Sports as the home of ICC cricket in the UK and Ireland until 2031. For the first time, this partnership will be a direct relationship with Sky Sports and offers exciting opportunities for innovative collaboration. They will do it for you," said Geoff Allardice, managing director of the ICC.

For the first time, the contract was licensed directly between the broadcaster and the ICC. "Following England's men's and women's successes in 2017, 2019 and 2022, with more and more people watching cricket at the highest level, our award-winning coverage will give cricket fans access to everything on and off the field.

This is for Sky, who have lost their overseas tours from the UK to the West Indies to New Zealand, and especially the Ash Tour of Australia to BT Sport in recent years. Big win.

The new deal will see Sky live in competitions such as the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, ICC Men's World Cup, ICC Women's World Cup, ICC World Test Championships, ICC Men's U19 ODI World Cup and ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup. Strengthen your cricket rights plan. All will stay with Sky Sports until at least 2031.
