Zelensky called Russia a 'terrorist' state on Christmas Day
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the people of Ukraine to be patient with Russia's attacks on Christmas. He made this call in a video address given on Saturday (December 24) local time.
Besides, Zelensky termed Russia as a terrorist state. He said freedom has to be paid for. But the price of slavery is high.
But many Ukrainians told the BBC the hardships had made them stronger. Since the war has been delayed into the 11th month, they can wait longer to defeat Russia.
Since then, Russian forces stationed on the left bank of the Dnipro River have been attacking Kherson. In addition, fierce fighting continues between Ukrainian and Russian troops in the strategic city of Bakhmu in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region.
